My speciality is creating striking, impactful and informative content.
I find my best skill is in editing things down to their simplest form. While the injustice to animals is anything but simple or one dimensional, focusing on individuals and specific aspects within a story is both powerful and emotive . This not only helps with engagement but also in creating multiple pieces of content from one issue.
With my background in photography and videography, I highly value the power of images and footage, and believe these are an important tools to tell stories with.
Peninsula Animal Aid
Prior to me joining PAA they were struggling to reach a wide audience on their Facebook page. Within a month their reach had increased by 620%. The followers to the page were initially grew by 131% within a month. Since establishing the Facebook page and website, I implemented a post schedule and process. While I am still the head the PR and Social Media for the organisation, I have been able to step back and now offer more of a support role as needed.
Coalition for the Protection of Racehorses
I have been managing the social media for Coalition for the Protection of Racehorses since the start of 2019
I learnt a lot from the previous manager in this role. They had set down some great framework which I could carry through and slowly add certain elements along the way.
The page following has increased by 23% in the 22 months since I began managing the page.
There have been some incredibly powerful issues exposed in this time including ABC’s exposé, ‘The Final Race’ and Farm Transparency Project’s series ‘The Finish Line’ (part 1 and 2).
